Scale of Violations Documented
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority has recorded a total of 62,916 incidents targeting Palestinian citizens, their lands, and properties across the West Bank, including Jerusalem. These figures cover the period from October 7, 2023, to the present. The organization released this data on Sunday, coinciding with the eve of the third anniversary of the conflict.
Distribution Between Forces
The report breaks down the perpetrators of these incidents. Israeli security forces were responsible for 48,174 of the recorded cases. Meanwhile, settlers carried out 14,742 incidents during the same timeframe. This distribution highlights the dual nature of the pressure exerted on the Palestinian population through both state military actions and private settler violence.
Geographic Concentration
Data provided by the authority indicates that the Hebron Governorate experienced the highest number of incidents, totaling 10,840. It was followed by the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate with 10,594 cases, and Nablus with 10,261 cases. Jerusalem recorded 7,315 incidents. These numbers reflect the intense concentration of activity in specific urban and rural centers within the occupied territory.
Impact on Daily Life and Land
The authority stated that these figures emerge amidst an escalation of Israeli measures in the West Bank, running parallel to the war on Gaza. The report emphasizes that the violations are not limited to field confrontations. Instead, they encompass a broad range of administrative, legal, and military procedures aimed at expanding control over Palestinian land. These actions include demolition, confiscation, road closures, and attacks on property.
According to the document, these measures have significantly restricted the ability of Palestinians to access their agricultural lands and maintain their presence there. The authority noted that military, legal, administrative, and settlement policies are working in tandem to alter facts on the ground and expand Israeli control throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Widespread Targeting
Detailed records show that at least 376 villages, towns, and settlements have been targeted by settlers. This wide geographic spread underscores the extensive scope of the campaign against Palestinian communities. The authority concluded that the cumulative total since October 7, 2023, represents a widening of targeting patterns that threaten the Palestinian presence in the region. This trend accompanies ongoing expropriation, demolition, and colonial expansion, details of which will be elaborated in further sections of the report.
