French Labor Unions Block Delivery of Elbit Systems Shipment

10 October، 2026

French labor unions have successfully prevented the loading of a cargo shipment belonging to the Israeli security firm Elbit Systems. The delivery, which was scheduled for Thursday on an Air France flight departing from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Ben Gurion Airport, was halted due to organized protests. Union representatives confirmed that the consignment contained vital components designated for the company’s land systems division.

The intervention resulted from coordination among three aviation worker unions alongside anti-Israel activist groups, including the organization Urgence Palestine. These entities are currently working to obstruct an alternative attempt to transport the same cargo via an El Al flight. According to Haaretz, the coalition aims to ensure no route is left open for the materials to reach their destination.

In a related development, a labor committee formally decided to refuse loading the shipment onto the El Al aircraft scheduled for departure the following day. In a joint statement, the organizations emphasized that France’s ethical and legal obligations remain unchanged regardless of the carrier involved. They called for immediate intervention by French authorities and aviation bodies to permanently halt the shipment.

A spokesperson for Air France denied transporting these specific materials, stating in interviews with French media outlets that the airline does not carry weapons or ammunition on flights bound for Israel.
