Deadly Strikes Across Multiple Districts
Six Palestinians were killed and others injured during overnight operations by the Israeli military in the Gaza Strip. The fatalities occurred across several locations, including Rafah, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City, highlighting the widespread nature of the violence despite the truce that has been in effect since October 10, 2025.
In southern Gaza, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that Naqib Abdul Jawad Hatim Jouda, a 37-year-old officer with the Maritime Police in Rafah, was killed when an Israeli drone targeted a police checkpoint in the Mawasi area. The ministry stated that this attack reflects the occupation’s determination to target the security apparatus in an effort to spread chaos within the strip.
Earlier in the day, a Palestinian man was killed when a drone struck a civilian gathering in Deir al-Balah, located in the central part of the sector. In Gaza City, three men died in separate incidents in the Tuffah neighborhood to the east of the city. Two of them were killed when a drone attacked a civilian gathering, injuring other bystanders. The third victim, identified as Majid Al-Sabbagh, 36, was killed by a drone strike near the Dar Al-Arqam school in the same district.
Demolitions and Continued Firepower
On Saturday morning, the Israeli army carried out two demolition operations targeting buildings and structures in areas it occupies within the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza. These actions resulted in two loud explosions, according to local reports.
Medical sources reported that a three-year-old girl was injured after Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward homes in eastern Deir al-Balah. Additionally, witnesses told Anadolu Agency that the Israeli army fired heavily at areas southeast of Deir al-Balah and in the eastern and southern parts of Khan Younis in the south of the strip.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, six people were killed and 43 injured in hospitals over the past 48 hours. Since the ceasefire began, the death toll has reached 1511, with 5375 injured and 838 bodies recovered. The ongoing hostilities follow a period of intense conflict that began in October 2023, which resulted in significant destruction of infrastructure and thousands of casualties.
