This alert follows the establishment of a new settlement outpost by settlers in the Khirbet Al-Alawna area, situated on the town’s lands, under the protection of occupation forces. This development marks the second outpost erected in the region within a span of just four months.
According to the municipality, a group of settlers has begun constructing facilities and installing equipment in Khirbet Al-Alawna. The area serves as a recreational space and a leisure outlet for local citizens. The municipality characterized this move as an attempt to cement a new settler presence and impose a fait accompli on the town’s lands. Authorities expressed concern over the potential risks associated with the outpost’s expansion in the coming period, noting that it could spread into additional areas of citizen-owned land.

Subsequently, on March 13, activities were documented involving the placement of berms and barbed wire fencing in other parts of the region.
The pattern of incursion continued later in the year. On August 2 and August 10, settlers returned to the western area of the town. During these visits, they carried out digging and clearing operations aimed at expanding the footprint of the outpost and solidifying its existence.
