Clashes and Injuries in Qalqilya
On Tuesday, Israeli military forces launched extensive operations in various parts of the West Bank, characterized by large-scale incursions, house raids, and detentions. The most severe incident occurred in Qalqilya, where a teenager was shot by occupying forces at the city’s southern checkpoint. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Authority, the injury took place as troops entered the area from the south accompanied by a military bulldozer. Following the shooting, a significant contingent of the Israeli army raided several residences in the vicinity and advanced into Al-Wad Street and the Wadi Barham zone.
Confrontations in Ramallah and Nablus
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, tensions escalated in the town of Salwad, located northeast of Ramallah. Clashes erupted between youths and Israeli soldiers, prompting the military to deploy tear gas canisters to disperse the crowds. Simultaneously, near Ramallah, youths threw stones at a settler vehicle traveling through Yabrud village toward the Eastern Farm intersection. Meanwhile, in the Nablus governorate, troops invaded the villages of Madma and Tal, situated southwest of the city. Forces also entered Asir al-Shamaliya before reinforcing their presence with additional military units.
Operations in Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Salfit
The military campaign extended to the Jenin governorate, where forces occupied Barkin west of the city. Operations continued in the towns of Yamun and Silat al-Harithiya, with multiple homes raided in Yamun. In the Hebron governorate, troops targeted the Jalqul district within the city, conducting raids on several houses. They also entered Sheikh’s Quarter and moved into the towns of Beit Amr and Tarkumia in the northern and northwest regions of the governorate respectively.
In Bethlehem, incursions reached the town of Khader in the south. Concurrently, in Salfit, forces occupied Deir Balout west of the city, where three young men were detained. These coordinated actions formed part of a broader series of raids affecting scattered areas throughout the West Bank, underscoring the widespread nature of the security operations carried out by the Israeli army on Tuesday.
